Foreign buyers purchased 3,292 condominium units in Thailand in the second quarter of 2026. According to the Real Estate Information Center (REIC), the number of registered transactions increased by 1.4% compared with the same period last year.

The total value of the purchased properties demonstrated significantly stronger growth. It reached THB 14.8 billion, representing an increase of 20.2% compared with the second quarter of 2025. The total area of condominium units purchased by foreign buyers rose by 8.1% to approximately 145,000 m².

Foreign buyers accounted for around 10.2% of all registered condominium transactions in Thailand. In monetary terms, their share was considerably higher, reaching approximately 20% of the total transaction value.

Chinese nationals remain the largest group of foreign property buyers. Other notable markets include buyers from Myanmar, Russia, the United States, Taiwan, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and India.

However, the figures for the entire first half of 2026 remain below last year’s levels. From January to June, 6,533 condominium units were transferred to foreign buyers, which was 8.8% fewer than during the same period in 2025. The total value of registered transactions amounted to approximately THB 28.3 billion, decreasing by 1.5%.

The second-quarter results therefore indicate a recovery in foreign buyer activity following a weaker start to the year. The increase in the value of purchased properties is particularly notable, as the monetary volume of transactions is growing considerably faster than the number of units sold.
