Dubai has released updated tourism data: in August 2026, the emirate welcomed approximately 869,000 international overnight visitors. This was the highest monthly figure recorded since February this year.

During the first eight months of 2026, Dubai received a total of 6.97 million international tourists. Visitor numbers have shown a steady recovery since March, while hotel occupancy reached 66% in August.

The positive performance recorded in 2026 continues Dubai’s long-term growth as an international tourism destination. In 2025, the emirate set another record by welcoming 19.59 million international overnight visitors, an increase of 5% compared with 18.72 million in 2024. As a result, 2025 became the third consecutive record year for Dubai’s tourism industry.

The hospitality sector also continues to report substantial volumes. From January to August 2026, Dubai’s hotels registered 21.61 million occupied room nights, while the total hotel inventory approached 149,000 rooms by the end of August.

Western Europe remained Dubai’s largest source market in 2026, accounting for 20% of international visitors. South Asia generated 17% of tourist arrivals, GCC countries accounted for 16%, and the CIS and Eastern Europe represented 14%.

Strong interest from international travellers remains an important factor in the development of Dubai’s economy and property market. Stable visitor numbers support the hospitality sector and demand for short-term rentals, while continued investment in urban and tourism infrastructure enhances the emirate’s appeal for living and investment.

Dubai continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading destinations for tourism, business and investment.
