The United Arab Emirates ranked 14th among the most attractive countries for relocation in 2026. The study covered 82 countries and assessed the conditions they offer for living, working and adapting to a new environment.
The ranking was based on 34 indicators grouped into 16 categories. These included income and employment levels, safety, healthcare and education quality, cost of living, environmental conditions and support for families with children.
The UAE ranked first for the proportion of residents born outside the country. Foreign nationals account for approximately 88% of the Emirates’ population. This figure reflects the country’s stable economic development, international labour market and programmes designed to attract qualified professionals and entrepreneurs.
The UAE also entered the top ten countries offering favourable conditions for families. This category considered the quality of education, availability of international schools, childcare costs and opportunities for working parents.
Switzerland took first place in the overall ranking, followed by Iceland and Luxembourg. Australia, Germany, Ireland, the United States, Denmark, Norway and Spain also entered the top ten. The UAE ranked 14th, ahead of the United Kingdom.
The Emirates’ strong position confirms the country’s appeal to professionals, investors, entrepreneurs and families considering relocation and long-term residence abroad.
