A large-scale modernization of aviation infrastructure is underway in Antalya Province, aimed at increasing passenger capacity and improving the quality of service for tourists.
Antalya Airport’s annual passenger capacity has increased from 35 million to 82 million. The international terminal has been expanded from 90,143 to 224,000 m², while the domestic terminal has grown from 36,859 to 75,000 m². The number of aircraft parking stands has increased from 108 to 176. The VIP terminal and general aviation terminal have also been expanded.
Modernization is also continuing at Gazipaşa Airport, which serves the eastern part of Antalya Province. Work includes the expansion of the passenger terminal and the construction of a new VIP lounge. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2026.
The modernization of these two key airports will enable the region to accommodate more domestic and international flights, improve passenger comfort and support the continued development of tourism along Türkiye’s Mediterranean coast.
